Police arrest four in attempted robbery at LongShine Mining Company

Western Regional Police Command, have arrested two alleged military officers and two civilians who reportedly attempted to rob LongShine Mining Company Limited, a Chinese-owned firm, on Sunday, September 28, at Prestea-Obouhu.

Speaking to Channel One News on October 1, the company’s Public Relations Officer, Zion Rootman, said the suspects , two men in military uniforms and two masked civilians drove to the site in a pickup truck.

According to him, the police were quickly alerted and moved in to arrest the suspects during the attempted raid. They have since been transferred to the Tarkwa Regional Police Command for further investigations.
